AI Model settings

Your AI model includes default settings that work well for most projects. If you want to adjust specific settings, you can do so on this page.

Model settings

Use page views from

Enter a date from which to use page views. For example, in the case of a new launch of the website, it can be good to set the date up to the launch date.

Page views max age

Set the maximum age of page views that can be used to train the AI model. For frequently updated websites, you might limit this to data from, for example, the last three months.

Articles/news max age

If news and other article types should have a longer or shorter lifespan, you can enter this value yourself for that type of content.

Weather data

If you do not want the model not to take weather into account when making recommendations, you can control this with this checkbox.

Custom features

If you want the model to take Custom Features into account when making recommendations, you can control it with this checkbox.

Recommendations based on earlier visits

Save navigation history in browser local storage to make page recommendations more relevant based on earlier intent.

Similarity settings

Similarity settings let you control how closely related two items must be to be considered relevant for recommendations. This applies to pages, questions, and keyword suggestions.

A default similarity threshold is provided out of the box, designed to balance precision and coverage for most use cases. However, you can override this value to better fit your specific needs.

By setting a custom similarity threshold, you define how strict the matching should be. A lower value means that only very similar items will be recommended, resulting in more precise but fewer suggestions. A higher value allows for broader matches, increasing the number of recommendations but with less strict relevance.

The custom value you set will be applied globally for that specific recommendation type, ensuring consistent behavior across your implementation.

The default values is around 1.15. The value can always be overwritten by adding the data attribute max-similarity

Pages

The similarity threshold for page recommendations determines how closely related two pages must be to be considered relevant for recommendations.

Questions

The similarity threshold for question recommendations determines how closely related two questions must be to be considered relevant for recommendations.

Search

The similarity threshold for search recommendations determines how closely related two pages must be to be considered relevant for search suggestions.
